Charity Data Dashboard

Guidance

  • This dataset was extracted during w/c 20th October 2025 and is accurate at that date. The next dataset will be uploaded during w/c 19th January 2026.

  • The data within is taken from the Charity Commission for England and Wales, and categorised by our own “Sub-category” classifications, the NCVO charity size bands, and by Local Authority districts (as made available via Inform Gloucestershire’s lookup tool Postcode Lookup Tool | Inform Gloucestershire).

  • The charities selected include all of those who have specified their area of delivery as Gloucestershire, along with all charities operating within England and Wales with a Gloucestershire registered address.

  • Some very large charities are included within this dataset. They include:

    • Parish Giving Scheme (Charity No. 1156606, Gloucester)

    • Ruskin Mill Trust Limited (Charity No. 1137167, Stroud)

    • The Universities and Colleges Admission Service (Charity No. 1024741, Cheltenham)

    • The Benefact Trust Limited (Charity No. 263960, Tewkesbury)

  • Several Private Schools and Academy Trusts are registered charities, and are thus included.

  • This dashboard is owned by Gloucestershire VCSE Alliance and protected by copyright.

If you'd like to compare data between districts and sub-sectors, we suggest filtering out these very large organisations. You can do this by filtering by NCVO Size and Activities.

How to Use

  • The dashboard works best when viewed on a desktop PC or laptop. If using a mobile device, please ensure it’s held in a landscape position.

  • The first page displays all charity data, and can be filtered by District, NCVO Size and Activity.

  • The second page displays financial data for each district.

  • The third page displays financial data for each sub-sector.

  • The fourth page displays a map of charity registered addresses.

  • To move between pages, click the arrow at the bottom of the dashboard.
