CCS Adoption
CCS Adoption finds families for children who need them; but matching a child (or children) with a family is only the start of a lifelong adoption journey.
All adopted children have experienced adverse childhood experiences; the impact of trauma can create lifelong issues including: forming trusting relationships; social skills and relationships with peers; executive functioning skills; speech and language difficulties; learning difficulties; regulating their emotions; coping with transitions and change.
CCS Adoption provides a range of programmes to adoptees and adoptive families. Family finding is funded by local authority fees but adoption support isn’t and relies on vital charitable funds.
