Booking Criteria

Our courses and events are fully funded for Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) groups and organisations delivering services in Gloucestershire.

Bookings will be prioritised for these groups.

Bookings from Non-Priority Organisations

If your organisation does not meet the above criteria, you may join our waiting list. If spaces become available, we will contact you prior to the course to let you know whether we can allocate you a place.

To join the waiting list, please complete our Event Waiting List Form.

We recommend keeping the event date free until you hear from us, as spaces are sometimes confirmed at short notice.

Waiting List Policy (for Oversubscribed Events)

When events reach capacity, we activate a waiting list. Allocation of places from the waiting list will be:

  • Prioritised for VCSE organisations delivering services in Gloucestershire.

  • Allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

If a space becomes available, you will be contacted via our Eventbrite account or bookings@glosalliance.org.uk.

Maximum Bookings per Organisation

To ensure fair access, we limit bookings to two spaces per organisation.

If you require more than two places, please email bookings@glosalliance.org.uk. We will do our best to accommodate individual needs where possible.

Incomplete Bookings

All requested booking information must be completed via our online booking form.
Incomplete bookings cannot be processed and will be cancelled without further communication.

If you need assistance or have questions, please email us at bookings@glosalliance.org.uk.

Cancellation and non-attendance

Our events (although frequently offered free-of-charge to attendees) do have a cost and often have a waiting list. We ask that you let us know as soon as possible when you become aware that you will not be able to attend a booked event so that another organisation can benefit from the place.

In the event of repeated non-attendance with no notification or explanation by an individual, we reserve the right to cancel bookings made by that individual. We will notify you by e-mail if this applies to you.

Offering your place to a colleague

Where you have booked onto an event which you are no longer able to attend and wish to send a colleague in your place, you must let us know at least 24 hours before the event takes place.

If your colleague attends in your place on the day of the event and we have been given no prior notice, we are unable to accommodate requests for their specific needs and neither you, nor your substitute will receive the post-event materials.

Attending Our Events

Attendees must be 16 years of age or above.

Breastfeeding parents are welcome. If your baby becomes disruptive to others’ learning, we kindly ask you to step outside temporarily. Learning materials will be made available to you afterwards.

Except for breastfed children, under-16s are not permitted to accompany an adult at our events (unless otherwise specified in the event information).

We expect all attendees to behave respectfully towards trainers, staff, and fellow participants. Disruptive, abusive or disrespectful behaviour may result in removal from the session.

Accessibility & Inclusion

We aim to make our events accessible to all. If you have specific needs (e.g. mobility, sensory, dietary, or learning support), please let us know via the booking form so that we can make necessary arrangements.
