This session, designed for frontline staff and led by Anne Brinkhoff, seeks to develop Motivational Interviewing (MI) skills to support attendees in feeling more confident in having difficult conversations with their clients.
Outcomes:
• Understand the principles of MI
• Learn the core skills of Motivational Interviewing – OARS (Open questions, Affirmations, Reflections, Summarizing)
• Learn practical ways to implement MI into work with clients.
• Understand how these techniques can empower clients to make meaningful change.

This course is fully funded for VCSE groups & organisations delivering services in Gloucestershire. To enable as many groups & organisations to access this course, we limit bookings to two per organisation. Please note we only accept bookings from individuals attending the course and we are unable to accept multiple bookings in one name.
