Gloucestershire VCSE Infrastructure Collaborative Launched
A Gloucestershire VCSE Infrastructure Collaborative has been established, bringing together key VCSE infrastructure organisations from across the county to strengthen partnership working, collaboration and community leadership.
The Collaborative brings together a diverse group of organisations with a shared ambition to support thriving communities, reduce inequalities and strengthen the role of the VCSE sector within the future health and wellbeing system in Gloucestershire.
The organisations involved include:
Gloucestershire VCSE Alliance
Inclusion Gloucestershire
Active Gloucestershire
Create Gloucestershire
Feeding Gloucestershire
Forest Voluntary Action Forum
Gloucestershire Rural Community Council (GRCC)
Young Gloucestershire
GRACE Network
Voice for Change
The Collaborative will work alongside NHS Gloucestershire and wider system partners to help shape a more connected, preventative and community-led approach to health and wellbeing across the county. It aims to strengthen the sector’s collective voice, support collaboration across communities and organisations, and help create the conditions for long-term community-led change.
Members of the Collaborative said:
“This is an important opportunity to build a stronger and more connected VCSE infrastructure across Gloucestershire. By working collaboratively, we can better support communities, strengthen local leadership and help shape a future system that is more preventative, inclusive and rooted in the strengths of local people and communities.
The VCSE sector has a vital role to play in improving health and wellbeing and tackling inequalities. Through the Collaborative, we want to build shared leadership, develop practical solutions together and create stronger partnerships across Gloucestershire for the benefit of our communities.”
The Collaborative has begun meeting and will continue to develop its shared priorities, ways of working and longer-term ambitions over the coming months.
