Support for small charities and community groups in Gloucestershire

If you’re new to the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector, there’s lots of help and support available to you, completely free of charge.

Where can we find funding and advice on how to prepare strong bids?

There are lots of local and national grant funders, but it can be confusing to know whether your group is eligible for funding and how to submit the best possible application.

We provide a monthly Funding Bulletin full of local and national grant funds suitable for Gloucestershire-based organisations

We also provide fully funded fundraising training. You can view all of our upcoming training here:

What support can we access?

We offer all of our services free of charge to our member organisations and groups.

Membership is free, and all non-profit groups and organisations operating within Gloucestershire can join us.

We provide a range of services: advice, signposting, help with trustees and directors, template policies and other documents, data and insights, training and networks, and informative mailings and updates.

How can I get help with volunteer recruitment?

We provide Go Volunteer Glos, Gloucestershire’s online volunteer recruitment portal.

With an average of 175 potential volunteers searching the platform for roles each month, it’s a free and easy way to advertise your volunteer opportunities to a huge pool of candidates.

How can I connect with peers?

We run an online network for staff and volunteers from small VCSE organisations.

If your annual turnover is under £250,000 and you deliver services in Gloucestershire, you can join the network and benefit from sharing knowledge and experience with peers.

Additionally, if you have a question or a problem you’d like some help with, you can get in touch and we’ll do our best to either help, or connect you with an organisation who can.

You can email us via info@glosalliance.org.uk or telephone 01242 858947.
