Spotlight on: the Hollie Gazzard Trust

This week is Small Charity Week (22–29 June 2026) and we’re taking the opportunity to shine a light on the amazing work being done by some of Gloucestershire’s small charities.

Today we’re taking a look at the Hollie Gazzard Trust (https://holliegazzard.org/)

Tell us a bit about the Hollie Gazzard Trust

The Hollie Gazzard Trust is a Gloucestershire-based charity with a nationwide reach. Our vision is a world where everyone can recognise the warning signs of abuse and feel empowered to take action, so we can prevent harm before it happens and keep each other safe.

Established in memory of Hollie Gazzard, who was murdered by an ex-partner in 2014, the Trust works to prevent harm and protect lives through education, awareness and training.

Education is at the heart of what we do. We work with schools, colleges, universities, workplaces and community groups to raise awareness of domestic abuse, stalking and violence against women and girls, helping people recognise unhealthy behaviours, understand healthy relationships and know where to seek support.

Through our training programmes and partnerships, we aim to empower individuals to recognise abuse, respond safely and support others, helping to create lasting change.

What's next for the Hollie Gazzard Trust?

It's an incredibly exciting time for the Trust.

We're continuing to expand our training offer, reaching more schools, colleges, universities and organisations with our healthy relationships, stalking awareness and personal safety programmes.

We're also preparing to launch a series of digital toolkits that will make our educational resources more accessible than ever, giving organisations practical tools to support awareness, learning and prevention.

And alongside that, we have a very exciting development planned for the beginning of July that will help us reach even more people with our message. We can't reveal too much just yet, but it's something we've been working on for some time and we're looking forward to sharing more details soon.

What are your main challenges at present?

Like many charities, demand for our services continues to grow.

We are seeing increasing demand from schools, colleges, universities and employers who want support around healthy relationships, stalking awareness and violence against women and girls. While this is encouraging because it shows these issues are being taken seriously, it also means we need to continually develop our resources and capacity to meet that demand.

Another challenge is ensuring that education keeps pace with the changing risks young people face, particularly in an increasingly digital world. That's why we're continually evolving our training and resources to make sure they remain relevant, practical and impactful for today's audiences.

Our focus remains on reaching as many people as possible with the education and awareness that can help prevent abuse, protect lives and create safer futures.
