This practical and engaging one-hour webinar, designed to help VCSE organisations recruit, and retain volunteers from diverse backgrounds

This interactive session will explore the importance of inclusive volunteering and the barriers that can prevent people from getting involved.

Participants will gain practical tips and strategies to improve outreach, accessibility, and engagement with underrepresented communities, helping organisations build more inclusive and representative volunteer teams.

Through discussion, reflection, and real-life examples, the webinar will support volunteer managers to develop more inclusive recruitment approaches that strengthen community connections, increase participation, and create welcoming volunteering opportunities for everyone.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to:

• Understand the importance of diversity in volunteering

• Identify barriers that prevent people from volunteering

• Apply inclusive recruitment and outreach strategies

• Improve accessibility and inclusivity within volunteer opportunities

• Use practical approaches to build trust with underrepresented communities

• Reflect on real-life examples of inclusive volunteer recruitment

This course is fully funded for Gloucestershire VCSE Alliance members

And is subsidised for non-member VCSE organisations.

To enable as many groups & organisations to access this course, we limit bookings to two per member organisation. Please note we are unable to accept multiple bookings in one name.
