For charities to understand, measure and apply social value, meet new laws, and maximise community impact.

Learn to understand, measure, and apply social value to benefit your charity, align with new laws, and support your community impact.

This practical training will help you understand and apply for social value in a way that benefits your charity and your communities.

You will learn:

  • What social value is and the key terminology

  • A short history of social value and how it has evolved

  • Why social value is now a "must have" rather than a "nice to have"

  • How social value arises and is measured

  • The objectives of the Procurement Act and what they mean for you

  • The link between social value and the UN Sustainable Development Goals

  • How to prepare your organisation to receive, evidence, and maximise social value

This event is fully funded for VCSE groups & organisations in Gloucestershire.

Tea and coffee will be provided.

Booking information

To enable as many groups & organisations to access this course, we limit bookings to two per organisation. If you would like to book more than two spaces, please email bookings@glosalliance.org.uk and we will aim to accomodate individual needs where possible.

Our courses are often oversubscribed and we therefore have a waiting list system in place for each course. If this course is fully booked, you can add yourself to the waiting list and we will let you know as soon as a place becomes available.
