The Speech, Language and Hearing Foundation

Funding amount and term: usually range from £3,000 to £15,000. Grants for research or clinical projects can be up to £20,000.

Funding for: projects and activities supporting charities in their work below, or medical innovation and research in all topics relating to children with hearing/language difficulties.

Who can apply: small local charities registered with the Charity Commission, or charities that hold a Certificate of Exemption from the Inland Revenue working with children who have hearing impairments, speech delays or language and communication difficulties.

Funding priorities: children who have hearing impairment, speech delay, language or communication difficulties, or who have complex needs. Also related medical innovations and new developments and research.

Any other information: trustees meet three times a year.
