By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

- Explain why business continuity is important for voluntary organisations
- Recognise common types of disruption that could affect their services
Key Objectives
- Build a shared understanding of business continuity
- Challenge assumptions that business continuity is only for large organisations
- Help participants relate continuity planning to their own services and users
Content Covered
- Simple definition of business continuity
- What business continuity is not (e.g. emergency response, health and safety paperwork)
- Why continuity matters: impact on service users, safeguarding, funders and reputation
- Typical disruptions for voluntary organisations (premises, IT, people, weather)
- What a proportionate or “good enough” approach looks like
This course is fully funded for Gloucestershire VCSE Alliance members
And is subsidised for non-member VCSE organisations.
To enable as many groups & organisations to access this course, we limit bookings to two per member organisation. Please note we are unable to accept multiple bookings in one name.
